STOTT Pilates®
STOTT Pilates® places an emphasis on core strength, alignment, and mobility. It is beneficial to bodies of all ages and fitness levels. STOTT Pilates® also addresses the inherent muscle imbalances we all have, from being right or left-handed, participating in one-sided sports, having jobs with repetitive movement, poor bio-mechanics, or simply bad posture from our modern, computer-driven lives.
RESTORATIVE Pilates
Kirsti became interested in Pilates many years ago after she retired from competitive rhythmic gymnastics. She trained at the STOTT Pilates® Training center in Toronto and became a certified STOTT Pilates® instructor for mat and reformer in 2004. She became interested in teaching Restorative Pilates to clients post-injury, post-surgery, and to those who have not been active for many years and want a lighter class. She uses her physiotherapy background to modify various Pilates exercises to make them safe yet effective.

Through discussion, observation of movement patterns, and hands-on palpation, Candace will evaluate how you carry yourself. Interpreting the feedback from your tissues, tension, and movement patterns, she adapts each treatment to address your unique needs in real time.
Using techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue work, myofascial release, fascial stretching, and acupressure, Candace crafts each session as a dynamic conversation with your body. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, targeted pain relief, or improved functionality, her focus is on helping you feel more connected to your body and confident in its abilities.
Registered PHYSIOTHERAPY
Kirsti has worked as a physiotherapist for 32 years, working in hospital-based physiotherapy departments and in private clinics. She is a credentialled McKenzie therapist. She has developed an evidence-based approach to treatment and empowers her clients to take an active role in their care. Performing an in-depth initial assessment to find out the cause of the problem is of prime importance to Kirsti. Explaining the findings to her clients and educating them on what they can do to maximize their recovery is discussed. She uses a therapeutic exercise approach and manual therapy skills to manage various conditions that she treats.
Nutritional
Counselling
Nutritional Counselling
Working with a Holistic Nutritionist, you can expect wholesome meal planning tailored to you, grocery lists, recipes, and health and wellness resources. They also have experience working with clients who have digestive challenges, food sensitivities, and more.
During the Holistic Nutrition Initial Appointment, you will be asked to fill out an in-depth intake form, and food and mood journal. This helps in crafting personalized meal plans, developing meal catalogues, and providing comprehensive education on food and lifestyle choices. Jessica reviews all information in detail to ensure that the nutritional plan chosen is filled with savouring recipes you will enjoy. Holistic Nutrition Follow-up visits are used to monitor how the plan is going and to make any adjustments needed to further improve your health.
It’s important that you feel empowered on your own health journey. Education forms the cornerstone of informed decision-making. Jessica will provide clients with recommendations for healthy lifestyle, adequate macronutrients, proper digestion, adequate hydration, and health-conscious items (like household, food, beauty) to purchase – plus, so much more.
Part of the integrative experience at Rosegold Health Inc. is the “Naturopathic Holistic Nutrition Meal Plan Add-on”. This unique service involves an initial appointment with one of our Naturopathic Doctors, who then collaborates with Jessica to create the best possible plan for you. You walk away with a greater understanding of your health and a team of practitioners to guide the way.

PSYCHOTHERAPY
AND COUNSELLING
PSYCHOTHERAPY AND COUPLES/FAMILY COUNSELLING
As a registered social worker, Aery can practice as a psychotherapist offering various types of therapy. These therapies require intensive training and supervision. Of the various types, Aery offers therapy in Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). The theoretical underpinnings are, how people think, affect how people feel, which influences how they behave. Thus treatment includes an ongoing assessment of patients (how they came to thinking the way they think, identifying underlying emotions, etc) and various types of treatments that can involve perceptions and exposures that can come in the form of solutions-focused.
Furthermore, patients can expect the therapist to ask various questions that can expose their vulnerabilities and strengths. Vulnerability gives the therapist and the patient a window to see what it is that is being protected and why. When this is identified, the therapist will validate patient experience(s) and help the patient process the experience(s) which can lead to healing, increase self-confidence and self-esteem.
Therapy is not just cognitive experience but also a physical experience. There are physical symptoms that are commonly experienced with distress such as rumination, trouble sleeping, heart palpitations, worsening of existing aches and pain, skin rashes, etc. Treatment recommendations can also include exercises, mindfulness, meditation, walks, stretches, etc.
Stress releases a stress hormone called cortisol which is good in acute situations such as in fight or flight mode (survival instincts). However, when a person is in constant survival mode, it can take a toll on the body and cause a chronic anxious response which likely then, the person could be diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder. Thankfully this is not permanent and with therapy and in some cases, with medicine as well, can treat GAD and other mood disorders.
Every therapist may have their own specialties and still offer support in other concerns. Aery’s specialties are perinatal mental health and intergenerational trauma. Perinatal mental health is all things pregnancy: whether one is trying to get pregnant to experiencing losses to adapting as a parent. This service is not just for women but also their partners who are wanting to learn how to support them.
Intergenerational trauma is trauma that is experienced by one generation that has projected their trauma responses to the younger generation, and the younger generation, impacted the treatment of that, then passed their experiences to their offspring. That trauma could be from war or abuse as a child and the distress experienced can lead to how parents treat their children. Then the children pass on the negative experience to their children and so forth. Other populations who experience this are children of people who immigrated to Canada.
A list of concerns Aery has training and experience in:
- Perinatal Mental Health
- Intergenerational Trauma
- Transitions (work, school, retirement, etc.)
- Trauma
- Women’s health
- Grief and bereavement
If your concerns are not listed here and have questions, there is a complimentary consultation of 20 minutes.
