ACUPUNCTURE

Traditional Acupuncture

Acupuncture is part of the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It’s believed that a disruption of energy flow can lead to disease. By stimulating specific acupuncture points on the body using thin sterile metal needles of varying lengths, it can remove blockages and improve the flow of energy (or Qi). From a Western perspective, acupuncture points can stimulate the central nervous system, releasing chemical signalers and thereby causing biochemical changes to promote the body’s natural healing process.
Acupuncture is effective for a wide variety of conditions, including (and not limited to) digestive disturbances, hormonal imbalances, infertility, poor sleep, stress and anxiety, and acute and chronic pain.

Neuro-Meridian Integrative Acupuncture

This is an advanced acupuncture program that trains clinicians in the critical and manual skills to treat a wide variety of neuro-muscular pain and neurological conditions. Neuro-Meridian Integrative Acupuncture combines Eastern medicine theory and treatment principles with Western medicine patho-mechanisms into one comprehensive approach.

Cutaneous Acupuncture

Zoran has been involved in using and teaching Acupuncture as a clinical modality for over 25 years. Naturally, this led him to developing his own distinctive Acupuncture approach. He called this approach “Cutaneous Acupuncture”.
Cutaneous Acupuncture is a gentle and effective approach to treating various conditions by using mostly “Pyonex press acupuncture needles” with various depths, from 0.3 to 1.5 millimetres. In contrast, regular acupuncture needles are typically 15 to 45 millimetres in length. The Pyonex press acupuncture needles are waterproof and hypoallergenic; and provide a gentle, safe, and effective treatment for you. It’s so gentle that patients generally cannot sense that needles are even present on their skin.
Zoran’s approach to using a Pyonex press acupuncture needles involves applying a few needles to the ears and extremities, which you retain for duration of a few days to a week. This effective and innovative acupuncture treatment method allows you to experience gentle and ongoing clinical support for your health conditions, as you go along with your daily routine.
Zoran is excited to provide this proven, effective, and gentle acupuncture approach to patients at Rosegold Health Inc.

Fitness

STOTT Pilates®

STOTT Pilates® places an emphasis on core strength, alignment, and mobility. It is beneficial to bodies of all ages and fitness levels. STOTT Pilates® also addresses the inherent muscle imbalances we all have, from being right or left-handed, participating in one-sided sports, having jobs with repetitive movement, poor bio-mechanics, or simply bad posture from our modern, computer-driven lives.

STOTT Pilates® is different from other Pilates techniques. STOTT Pilates® exercises support the natural curves of the spine and help to re-balance the surrounding muscles. Each exercise program is customizable, and based on an initial assessment with spinal rehabilitation in mind. A combination of matwork and the reformer may be used in your musculoskeletal conditioning program. STOTT Pilates® is definitely challenging but fun as well, and can improve your overall posture, muscle tone, and day-to-day ability.

RESTORATIVE Pilates

Kirsti became interested in Pilates many years ago after she retired from competitive rhythmic gymnastics. She trained at the STOTT Pilates® Training center in Toronto and became a certified STOTT Pilates® instructor for mat and reformer in 2004. She became interested in teaching Restorative Pilates to clients post-injury, post-surgery, and to those who have not been active for many years and want a lighter class. She uses her physiotherapy background to modify various Pilates exercises to make them safe yet effective.

Naturopathic medicine

Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic Doctors (ND) undergo a minimum of three years of university-level education including pre-medical courses, four years at an accredited naturopathic medical college, and two sets of provincial licensing board exams. NDs practicing in Ontario are regulated by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, which ensures that the practitioner that you are seeing is able to support their patients effectively, safely, and within the guidelines set out by the profession. What sets an ND apart from other conventional health providers is that they work with your inherent self-healing process by identifying underlying root causes of illness and addressing this through an individualized treatment plan. NDs are trained in primary care, can address both acute and chronic illness, and are aware of how naturopathic treatments can work alongside standard medical therapies.
During the Initial Appointment, your ND will obtain an extensive patient history on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Your comprehensive intake will also include a complaint-oriented physical exam. Further specialized lab testing may be suggested if indicated by your history and health concerns. Follow-up visits are used to regularly check-in and monitor your progress, adjust any treatment instructions as necessary, and answer additional questions and concerns you may have.
Naturopathic Doctors receive extensive training in the following disciplines:
  • Clinical Nutrition
  • Acupuncture
  • Botanical Medicine
  • Asian Medicine
  • Physical Medicine
  • Homeopathy
  • Lifestyle Counselling
  • No one should settle for sub-optimal health.

    Manual Therapies

    Registered Massage Therapy

An initial intake and assessment will be performed to ensure treatment safety and effectiveness. The assessment includes questions about patient health history, daily activities of life, and focuses and goals for the treatment. Physical assessment will be conducted to record baselines, analyze which areas or parts of the body may need treatment, and to monitor progress.
Ryan’s massage style focuses on using deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, proprioceptive massage techniques, and general Swedish massage to work towards patient goals. Whether it is working on increasing or maintaining range of motion, decreasing muscular tension, helping with recovery from injury or surgery, and/or massage for general well-being, Ryan caters your treatment to work towards the desired goal.

    Registered PHYSIOTHERAPY

Kirsti has worked as a physiotherapist for 32 years, working in hospital-based physiotherapy departments and in private clinics. She is a credentialled McKenzie therapist. She has developed an evidence-based approach to treatment and empowers her clients to take an active role in their care. Performing an in-depth initial assessment to find out the cause of the problem is of prime importance to Kirsti. Explaining the findings to her clients and educating them on what they can do to maximize their recovery is discussed. She uses a therapeutic exercise approach and manual therapy skills to manage various conditions that she treats.

    Counselling

    Nutritional Counselling

“Eat Well, Be Well.” We know that food is the gateway to foundational health, but it can be difficult to navigate all of the information out there and make it your own. Nutritional counselling can help to create an individualized plan that is unique to you and your needs.

Working with a Holistic Nutritionist, you can expect wholesome meal planning tailored to you, grocery lists, recipes, and health and wellness resources. They also have experience working with clients who have digestive challenges, food sensitivities, and more.

During the Holistic Nutrition Initial Appointment, you will be asked to fill out an in-depth intake form, and food and mood journal. This helps in crafting personalized meal plans, developing meal catalogues, and providing comprehensive education on food and lifestyle choices. Jessica reviews all information in detail to ensure that the nutritional plan chosen is filled with savouring recipes you will enjoy. Holistic Nutrition Follow-up visits are used to monitor how the plan is going and to make any adjustments needed to further improve your health.

It’s important that you feel empowered on your own health journey. Education forms the cornerstone of informed decision-making. Jessica will provide clients with recommendations for healthy lifestyle, adequate macronutrients, proper digestion, adequate hydration, and health-conscious items (like household, food, beauty) to purchase – plus, so much more.

Taking the first step towards improved health is a transformative decision.

Part of the integrative experience at Rosegold Health Inc. is the “Naturopathic Holistic Nutrition Meal Plan Add-on”. This unique service involves an initial appointment with one of our Naturopathic Doctors, who then collaborates with Jessica to create the best possible plan for you. You walk away with a greater understanding of your health and a team of practitioners to guide the way.
